Přednáška o Mistru Janu Husovi - Ingeborg Kriegsmanová

V září se bude v Praze také konat přednáška racionálně uvažující luteránky Ingeborg Kriegsmanové, která napsala knihu o životě českého reformátora Jana Husa. Ve svém díle vysvětluje laické veřejnosti, kdo byl Jan Hus, za co bojoval a proč a jak zemřel. Přednáška bude doprovázena českým skladatelem a textařem Richardem Pachmanem, který přednese několik skladeb ze svého oratoria Mistr Jan Hus. Oba umělce ovlivnila závažná životní zkouška, která je přivedla k Mistru Janu Husovi a zasáhla do jejich životů i tvorby.
Mistr Jan Hus (asi 1369/1370 Husinec – 6. července 1415 Kostnice) byl římskokatolický kněz, český středověký náboženský myslitel, reformátor a kazatel; mistr a rektor (1409-1410) pražské univerzity. Ve svých náboženských pracích kritizoval mravní úpadek, v němž se ocitla katolická církev, a přejal některé myšlenky Jana Viklefa. Katolická církev ho označila za kacíře, jeho učení za herezi a exkomunikovala jej (1411). Na kostnickém koncilu byl odsouzen jako kacíř a vydán světské moci k upálení na hranici, když odmítl odvolat své učení.
Aby Ingeborg Kriegsmanová pochopila Husovy myšlenky a dozvěděla se více o jeho věrouce, opakovaně se vracela do Čech. Zde se pustila do systematického prověřování informací, začala se učit česky, přečetla asi 30 knih o Mistru Janu Husovi a rozhodla se zmapovat celou poslední Husovu cestu z Čech do Kostnice, kterou prošla pěšky. Nakonec se ztotožnila s myšlenkou, že Hus byl skutečný křesťan ve slovech i skutcích.

Rationally thinking Lutheran Ingeborg Kriegsman, who wrote a book about life of Czech reformist Jan Hus, will give her lecture in Prague in September as well. In her book she explains to the lay public, who Jan Hus actually was, what he was fighting for and why, and how he died. The lecture will be accompanied by music of the Czech composer and text writer Richard Pachman who will perform some pieces from his Oratorio called “Master Jan Hus”. Both artists have undergone difficult times in their lives which influenced them and brought them to Master Jan Hus by whom they have got inspired both in their lives and work.
Master Jan Hus (ca. 1369/1370 Husinec – 6th July 1415 Kostnice) was a Roman Catholic priest, Czech medieval religious thinker, reformist and preacher; master and rector (1409-1410) at the university of Prague. In his religious works he criticized moral decline of the Catholic Church and also adopted some of John Wyclif’s ideas. He was declared heretic by the Catholic Church, his teachings were declared heretical and in 1411 he was excommunicated. He was condemned by the Concily of Constance for heresy and he was sentenced to the execution by burning at the stake because he refused to call his teachings invalid.
Ingeborg Kriegsman has repeatedly come back to the Czech Republic in order to understand Hus’ ideas and learn more about his belief and teachings. There she began to methodically verify various pieces of information, she also learnt Czech and has read about 30 books dealing with Master Jan Hus. She even went from Bohemia to Constance, Germany on foot to map the whole last journey of Master Jan Hus. In the end she adopted the idea that Hus was a true Christian in his words and acts.
