14. Mezinárodní festival dokumentárních filmů

Rovněž nizozemské dokumentární filmy budou k vidění na 14. ročníku významné středoevropské přehlídky dokumentárních filmů v Jihlavě. Hlavní osou festivalového programu jsou čtyři soutěže: Opus bonum pro tematicky objevné a esteticky kvalitní světové dokumenty, Mezi moři uvádí nejkvalitnější snímky ze zemí střední a východní Evropy, Česká radost zpřehledňuje nejnovější domácí tvorbu a sekce Fascinace, se soustředí na okrajovou až hybridní podobu dokumentárního filmu - experimentální dokument. Další programové sekce představují aktuální dění na české i zahraniční dokumentární scéně a Průhledné bytosti jsou retrospektivními profily významných filmařů.
Kromě cen udělovaných porotami jsou každoročně odevzdány také Cena diváků a Cena za přínos světové kinematografii.
Jihlavský festival každoročně provází největší sekce pro filmové profesionály ve východní Evropě: Institut dokumentárního filmu připravuje East European Forum, setkání východoevropských dokumentaristů s producenty z velkých evropských televizí, společně pak organizují trh pro dokumentární filmy ze střední a východní Evropy East Silver.
Uzávěrka akreditací v předprodeji bude 10. října 2010. Novináři a filmoví profesionálové se budou moci akreditovat do 15. října.
Festival autorského dokumentu se za 13 let své historie stal největší událostí tohoto druhu ve střední Evropě. Je známý pro svou neformální atmosféru, diskusní charakter, systematickou podporu pozoruhodných dokumentů i ediční činnost.

Also Dutch films will be screened during the 14th significant Central European presentation of documentary films in Jihlava. The axis of the festival program is the four competitions: Opus Bonum for world documentaries of innovative themes and high aesthetic quality; Between the Seas presents high quality films from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe; Czech Joy surveys the newest Czech filmmaking; and the Fascinations section focuses on the marginal or even hybrid form of the documentary film — experimental documentary. Further program sections introduce the current events at the Czech as well as the international documentary scene. Translucent Beings are the retrospective profiles of remarkable filmmakers.
Besides the prizes awarded by juries, the Audience Prize and the Contribution to World Cinematography Award are awarded each year.
The Jihlava festival is annually accompanied by the biggest section for film industry in Eastern Europe: The Institute of Documentary Film organizes the East European Forum, the meeting of East European documentarists with producers from big European televisions. Further on they cooperate on the organization of East Silver, the market for documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe.
Advance registration will be possible until October 10th. Journalists and film professionals can receive their accreditation by October 15th 2010.
During the 13 years of its existence, the festival of creative documentary film has become the greatest event of its kind in Central Europe. It is legendary for its informal atmosphere, discussion character and systematic support of documentaries as well as publishing activities.
